Huawei is gearing up for a wave of new product announcements this September, signaling its most ambitious season yet. The lineup is expected to include a tri-fold smartphone, a new flip model, updated smartwatches, next-generation earbuds, and even fresh developments in electric vehicles. Analysts suggest the timing is no coincidence, as the company looks to draw attention away from Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17.
Huawei vs. Apple: A New Round
At the center of Huawei’s September strategy is the Mate XTs, the brand’s second-generation tri-fold smartphone. According to reports, the device could be unveiled as early as September 10. Alongside it, Huawei may introduce a compact tablet powered by the Kirin 9020 5G chip, a move seen as a direct challenge to Apple’s iPad dominance.
Second Wave of Launches
Huawei is also spacing its releases throughout the month. Toward late September, the company is expected to unveil:
- FreeClip 2 earbuds with a distinctive design,
- Watch GT 6 smartwatches,
- Nova Flip 2, a vertically folding smartphone, also expected to debut in a premium edition.
The Mate XTs and Nova Flip 2 are likely to serve as Huawei’s flagship rivals to the iPhone 17, while the other devices strengthen the company’s broader ecosystem, encouraging brand loyalty through interconnected hardware.
Global and Regional Rollouts
The global debut of the Watch GT 6 is set for September 19. In China, however, the smartwatch will arrive later in the month with additional features and AI-powered tools not available in the international version.
Beyond personal devices, insiders suggest Huawei may also expand its smart car efforts. This could include the launch of new luxury EVs or significant software upgrades for its existing models through advanced ADS (Autonomous Driving System) updates.
For now, Huawei is keeping details under wraps, but official teasers are expected to surface soon across platforms like Weibo. With Apple preparing its own major reveal, the stage is set for a heated technology showdown this autumn.
