Gretchen Rossi is under fire — the Real Housewives of Orange County star is being blasted with accusations of racism and homophobia, and fans are flooding Bravo’s comments demanding she be fired from the show.
The 46-year-old RHOC star became the center of controversy after a Bravo fan page posted screenshots that allegedly showed her double-tapping posts with anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric. One post read, “I’d rather have a whole month dedicated to the people that have lost their lives fighting for our freedom instead of having a month of celebrating your preference in the bedroom.”
Another went even further, saying, “When you opened the door to homosexuality, you opened the door to pedophilia. You’ll never win by normalizing perversion!”
The blogger didn’t hold back, captioning the screenshots: “Hey MAGA Barbie, you can just go f*ck right off with your blatant homophobia.” They also accused Gretchen of being “about as authentic as the facetune you put over yourself in every picture.”
The backlash was instant — with some fans calling for Gretchen to be fired and labeling her “disgusting.” Even Tamra Judge chimed in, branding Gretchen a “MAGA liar.” But Gretchen says the whole thing is fake, claiming the screenshots were doctored and insisting she did not “like” any homophobic content. She also revealed that the accusations have gone so far she and Slade Smiley, 51, have been receiving death threats.
This isn’t Gretchen’s first time in hot water with fans. In 2020, she shared Facebook posts about “fighting child trafficking,” echoing QAnon talking points — something that drew backlash from viewers who accused her of aligning with far-right conspiracies. Her history of supporting conservative figures has also been a sore spot for some longtime fans, who argue her views are “divisive.”

In August 2025, Gretchen and fellow Real Housewives of Orange County star Jennifer Pedranti sparked outrage after posting (and quickly deleting) a video where they made “Asian faces” and “Asian sounds” while pretending to fight.
In the clip, Gretchen was seen squinting her eyes in a way that viewers said mocked Asian people. The backlash was swift, with many fans calling for Bravo to fire both women for “crossing the line.”
Amid the controversy, Gretchen doubled down and shifted the focus back to her castmate Katie Ginella. “She has hurt every single one of us in the group with her lies,” Gretchen claimed on Instagram, before accusing Katie of trying to make the situation about race. “It has absolutely nothing to do with her culture (as she is spinning in the press),” Gretchen insisted.
Now, Gretchen is trying to get ahead of the narrative — but the Bravo community isn’t letting up, and this scandal could play out front and center on RHOC.
