Prince William and his wife, Princess Kate Middleton, released a new photo of their family in honor of Fatherâs Day 2025.
âHappy Fatherâs Day, Papa (before and after!) We love you! G, C & L đ,â a Sunday, June 15, Instagram caption read.
In the photo taken by professional photographer Josh Shinner, the 42-year-old Prince of Wales dressed casually in an olive-green sweater with a pair of jeans. He wrapped his arms around his three kids as they all smiled for the camera.
William and Kate, 43, share sons Prince George, 11, and Prince Louis, 7, as well as daughter Princess Charlotte, 10. The three kids twinned with their dad in green sweaters and denim pants in the portrait.
In a second photo â a.k.a. the âafterâ mentioned in the caption â George, Charlotte and Louis affectionately piled on top of William as he laid down on the grass between takes.
Just before celebrating Fatherâs Day, William and Kate stepped out at Trooping the Colour with all three little ones.
âAnother brilliant day at Trooping the Colour for His Majestyâs Birthday Parade,â William and Kate captioned a Saturday, June 14, Instagram post. âThank you to everybody who came, and to all those who took part.â
Trooping the Colour is the annual celebration of the monarchâs â Williamâs father, King Charles III â birthday, which is marked with a parade and military flypast. William rode in the procession via horseback, while Kate and the kids arrived in an open-top carriage. While George and Louis matched in navy suits with red ties, Charlotte and her mom both opted for teal dresses.
Ever since William and Kate became parents in 2013, they have been candid about raising their children.
âItâs been quite a change for me personally. Iâm very lucky in the support I have from Catherine, sheâs an amazing mother and a fantastic wife,â William said during a Talk Vietnam appearance in November 2016. âIâve struggled at times. The alteration from being a single, independent man to going into marriage and then having children is life-changing.â
The Prince and Princess of Wales are also trying to raise their kids to be humble â even though George will one day inherit the British throne.
âHis confidence has grown leaps and bounds over the last couple of years,â a source exclusively told Us Weekly in 2022. âHe is assertive, self-assured and knows what he wants, and doesnât hold back on speaking his mind. His personality is really starting to shine. Prince George is already showing that he has what it takes to be the future King of England.â
The insider further told Us that William and Kate, who is now in remission after battling an undisclosed form of cancer in 2024, didnât want George to âgrow up too quickly.â
âTheyâre determined to give him as much of a normal childhood as possible and itâs working wonders,â the source added at the time. âHeâs such a lovable, down-to-earth little boy. Itâs clear Prince William and Kate are raising him well.â
