Xiaomi Kenya has officially launched the Redmi 15, a feature-packed smartphone designed to deliver long-lasting power, immersive visuals, and amplified sound at an accessible price point.

The Redmi 15 introduces Xiaomi’s largest-ever global battery, a massive 7,000mAh unit, supported by advanced silicon-carbon anode technology. According to the company, the phone offers up to 28 hours of video playback, 29 hours of reading, and 64 minutes of calls on just 1% charge. It comes equipped with 33W fast charging, Smart Charging Engine 2.0, and Battery Health 4.0, ensuring both speed and durability. The device also supports 18W reverse charging, allowing it to double as a power bank for other gadgets.

For entertainment, the Redmi 15 boasts a 6.9-inch FHD+ immersive display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 288Hz touch sampling, promising smooth scrolling and responsive interaction. The screen is certified by TÜV Rheinland for Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, and Circadian-Friendly use, with DC Dimming technology for comfortable long-term viewing.

Sound is another highlight, with a 200% volume boost, Hi-Res Audio, and Dolby Atmos® integration, delivering room-filling sound for gaming, music, and streaming.

On the design front, the Redmi 15 features a slim 8.55mm profile, weighs 224g, and comes in three finishes – Sandy Purple, Titan Gray, and Midnight Black. Its quad-curved back with metal accents balances durability and style.

Performance is powered by the Snapdragon® 685 Mobile Platform built on a 6nm process, paired with up to 16GB RAM via Memory Extension and expandable storage up to 2TB. The phone runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2, offering features such as Circle to Search, Google Gemini integration, and Xiaomi Interconnectivity.

For the cameras, the Redmi 15 is equipped with a 50MP AI dual camera and an 8MP selfie camera, enhanced with Auto Night Mode for improved low-light performance.

Built for resilience, the Redmi 15 carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance and Wet Touch Tech 2.0, ensuring functionality even with wet hands. Xiaomi adds that the device can withstand extreme temperatures as low as -20°C, maintaining up to 14 hours of video playback or 7 hours of calls in such conditions.

The Redmi 15 will be available in Kenya starting September 25, 2025 in Sandy Purple, Titan Gray, and Midnight Black.
