I know most of you don’t have time to sit through every Fashion Week runway show hunting for trends — and honestly, even if you did, you’d probably rather spend that time doing something else.
Not to mention… most runway looks don’t exactly translate to real life (floor-length feather capes, I’m looking at you 😉).
That’s where I come in. I’ve combed over shows, articles, videos, etc. and pulled out the true standouts — the ones that are gorgeous, stylish and versatile. These are the trends that I think you’ll actually want to wear and even might be inspired to add to your closet right now.
Consider this your insider shortcut to Fall 2025 style — the pieces worth knowing, and exactly how to make them work in your everyday wardrobe.
Let’s dive in!
Q: What are the top fashion trends for Fall 2025?
A: This season is all about texture, movement, and rich color. The biggest and most wearable Fall 2025 fashion trends to have on your radar are:
Western Luxe
Cocoa Crush
Shearling Chic
Power Pants
Modern Boho Moment
These styles stood out on the runways for their polished style, versatility, and how easily they can be added into the wardrobe. I’ll be covering the designer inspiration for each trend, followed by easy ways you can wear them and shopping links for some of my favorite styles in each category below.
1. Western Luxe
Runway Inspiration:
Isabel Marant – Tailored jackets and lace minis accented with concho belts and Western boots.
Ralph Lauren – High-neck lace dresses cinched with leather belts for a prairie-meets-city vibe.
Chloé – Soft leather and silk separates styled with layered belts and gold hardware.
Why It Works in Real Life:
Western Luxe is not your rodeo-ready plaid-on-denim with cowboy boots. Think of it as city-chic with a western twist. Rich textures like suede, smooth leather, and luxe wools give the trend sophistication, while small western touches keep it fun and so easy to wear.
Style Tip:
Pick one Western-inspired piece like a pair of booties, a bag, or a studded belt (pictured above)… and pair it with your everyday basics. It gives you a touch of trendy without feeling like you’re headed into costume territory.

2. Cocoa Crush
Runway Inspiration:
Chloé – Luxe leather and fur-trimmed details in rich cocoa tones.
Michael Kors Collection – Timeless, tonal layering in deep chocolate for sleek sophistication.
Fendi – Sharp tailoring and structured suiting in warm brown shades.
Why It Works in Real Life:
Chocolate brown is definitely having its moment. It can even replace black as your new go-to dark neutral, and it plays beautifully with both soft neutrals and high-energy brights. So many of you have shared over the years that you just don’t feel comfortable wearing black any more. And now you don’t have to because there are so many gorgeous brown options!
Style Tip:
Swap out your standard black coat, blazer, or handbag for a rich cocoa brown version. If you’re feeling adventurous, pair chocolate brown with a bold pop of cobalt blue or tangerine for a striking, modern mix. And I’ve said this one before, but it’s worth repeating… you absolutely can and should mix your blacks and browns together.
3. Shearling Chic
Runway Inspiration:
Chloé – Shearling collars and patchwork shearling skirts
Gabriela Hearst – A striking white shearling coat that brings on some high-fashion drama
Altuzarra – Structured coats lined in plush shearling
Why It Works in Real Life:
Shearling and faux shearling is the ultimate cozy-luxe material for fall and winter. It’s warm, textured, and instantly elevates even the most casual outfits. The key is in the details…you don’t have to go full-on long coat like the one above to make the trend work. You can easily stick to small shearling details.
Style Tip:
Look for shearling or faux shearling accents on coats, vests, handbags, even boots and sneakers. They add cozy, winter-ready texture and a pop of interest to your look. If you prefer an animal-free option, opt for high-quality faux shearling or a plush teddy coat (pictured above) — both deliver the same visual impact. This is one of those trends that’s as fashionable as it is functional, and because shearling-inspired styles are timeless, you can wear them year after year.
4. Power Pants
Runway Inspiration:
Saint Laurent – High-waist, floor-skimming trousers in fluid wool
Stella McCartney – Matching draped suiting
Victoria Beckham – Minimal, wide-leg trousers paired with fitted tops
Why It Works in Real Life:
Think of Power Pants as the perfect mix of elegance and comfort. The wide-leg silhouette makes your legs look a mile long, and they’re just as flattering with sneakers as they are with heels. This look works with any style, which makes it so easy to tailor it to your own unique style. I absolutely LOVE this pair of black trousers (pictured above). They are wrinkle-resistant and drape beautifully. I also really love this pair of pants made from activewear fabric. They are chic and unimaginably comfortable – the ideal mix!
Style Tip:
Balance volume with a fitted knit or tucked-in blouse. Let the hem just graze your shoes for the longest, leanest line. This is one of those trends that will make you look instantly taller and oh-so-polished.
5. Modern Boho Moment
Runway Inspiration:
Chloé – Layered maxi dresses in caramel and rust with tall boots
Etro – Neutral patchwork and fluid printed skirts
Ulla Johnson – Embroidered blouses with tailored trousers
Why It Works in Real Life:
Modern Boho has grown up. The prints are more refined, the fabrics more luxurious, and the color palette more subdued. It’s bohemian without the clutter. Beautiful details that really hold their own.
Style Tip:
Opt for elevated fabrics like lace, silk, suede, or soft wool in tonal, earthy colors. Not quite a boho girl? Me either! You can try a high-neck lace white blouse with jeans and tall boots which is a nod to the trend, but definitely not full-on.
