On the spider genus Spanioplanus (Araneae: Linyphiidae): three new species from Uruguay and Argentina
ABSTRACT
Three new species of the genus Spanioplanus Millidge (Araneae: Linyphiidae) are
described: Spanioplanus juru n. sp. (female and male) from riparian forests and psammophilus
scrublands in Uruguay, Spanioplanus holmbergi n. sp. (female and male) and Spanioplanus olejniki n. sp.
(feminine) from riparian forests and hilly techniques in central-eastern Argentina. Images and illustrations
of somatic and sexual characters of the species are supplied. Moreover, information of the pure historical past and
a distribution map for these species are introduced along with an up to date prognosis of the genus.
These findings doc a better species variety of this beforehand monotypic genus and develop its
recognized distribution in South America.
