The Millennium Grounds in Lugogo were transformed into a kingdom of rhythm and revelry on Friday night as thousands turned up for Cindy Sanyu’s King Herself Royal Experience concert, powered by Pilsner.
From the start, fans were treated to a royal welcome. Attendees posed on a majestic throne at the Pilsner King photo booth before being handed free, ice-cold Pilsner King beers. The aromas from food stalls and the buzz of anticipation set the perfect celebratory tone.
The evening unfolded with a mix of performers keeping energy levels high. Dexta Rapper got the crowd moving with his viral Daddy Wato Inni Wa dance, Tracy Melon slowed the tempo with soulful vocals, while Da Agent ramped it up again with his rapid-fire flow. DJs Nimrod and LL kept the decks hot as the crowd–dubbed the Cindycates–waited eagerly for the King Herself.
And Cindy did not disappoint. To the dramatic instrumentals of Game of Thrones, she emerged flanked by dancers, immediately commanding the stage. For over two hours, she delivered a masterclass in performance–singing, dancing, freestyling, and engaging with the crowd through hits like Ndi Mukodo, Mwoto (with Karole Kasita), and her new collaboration See You Tonight with Omega 256.

The night’s biggest surprise came when her former Blu*3 bandmates, Lillian Mbabazi and Jackie Chandiru, joined her on stage. Their emotional performance of Nsanyuka Nawe sparked a wave of nostalgia as the crowd sang along word-for-word.
Throughout the evening, Pilsner heightened the experience with free and discounted beer, as well as Airtel WiFi for revellers. Speaking at the event, Lillian Kansiime, Pilsner’s representative, praised Cindy’s artistry:
“Cindy embodies boldness and authentic artistry–qualities that resonate deeply with our brand as Pilsner King. It has been an honour to celebrate this milestone concert with her, especially on her birthday, because a King deserves a King.”
The Royal Experience was more than a concert–it was a celebration of legacy, resilience, and star power. On a night filled with music, surprises, and unity, Cindy once again proved why her reign as The King Herself shows no sign of ending.
