As part of its 10th anniversary celebrations, Sanyuka TV continued its countrywide activations with a vibrant stopover in Bugweri District last weekend. The event, held at Idudi Muslim Primary School, drew excited crowds despite the rain that altered the usual program lineup.
Sanyuka, Uganda’s leading local entertainment channel, has spent the past few weeks connecting with viewers in various parts of the country, including Kampala, Jinja, and now Bugweri, in a bid to celebrate a decade of entertaining Ugandans with locally-rooted content. From comedy to music, drama, and lifestyle shows, Sanyuka has remained a household name over the years.
Saturday’s activation was designed to offer fans a day of fun-filled engagement, with plans for football matches, eating competitions, and community games. However, the unexpected rains shifted the mood–but not the spirit. The show went on with high-energy performances from regional artists and a thrilling bicycle race that got the crowd cheering.
Later that evening, the celebrations moved to D Fantasy Bar with a live broadcast of the iconic NBS Katch Up show, adding even more flair to the festivities. Attendees danced, sang along, and shared memories of the channel that has grown with them for a decade.
With each activation, Sanyuka continues to remind Ugandans that their joy, culture, and stories remain at the heart of the brand. The journey to celebrate #SanyukaAt10 is still on–and it’s coming to a town near you.
