Who will be the first to place two 200-megapixel sensors in a smartphone? Surprisingly, it may not be Oppo, but Vivo. According to reports, the upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra is expected to debut as the first—and so far only—flagship to feature this configuration in 2026.
Earlier speculation pointed to the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, rumored to arrive with a “400MP combo.” However, reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station now claims Oppo has taken a different route, sticking with a dual-periscope design and shelving the idea of dual 200MP cameras. Vivo, on the other hand, seems determined to push the megapixel race further.

The broader Vivo X300 series will reportedly split its hardware lineup. The X300 and X300 Pro are said to ship with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500, while the X300 Ultra will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, the direct successor to the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
