The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has launched two books in Abuja to celebrate his 50th birthday.
The books, titled “Strategies and Imperatives for Developing the Niger Delta” and “Rethinking the Niger Delta,” were launched at a ceremony attended by ministers, lawmakers, state house officials and leaders from the Niger Delta region.
In his book, Strategies and Imperatives for Developing the Niger Delta, Dr. Agbaku noted that “agriculture, in which the Niger Delta people have traditionally engaged, offers the most promising and rewarding avenue for combating poverty and facilitating sustainable development.” (NAN)
In Rethinking the Niger Delta, he wrote that the region’s future will be determined not by chance, but by deliberate choices, courageous actions, sustainable partnerships, and long-term collaborations.
