Redmi 14C

After weeks of testing, Xiaomi has finally dropped the official HyperOS 3 roadmap for China. Notice I said “for China.” The rollout hasn’t started yet, and for us in Kenya and the wider global market, updates usually arrive weeks (sometimes months) later.

And that’s where things get interesting, because while your friend in Beijing with a Redmi Note 13 Pro will be smiling in December, you in Nairobi might not see the same update until January 2026 (if you’re lucky).

The HyperOS 3 update roadmap (China first, global later)

Here’s the official timeline for China. For global devices, including those sold in Kenya, add at least a few weeks’ delay on top.

  • October 2025 (China → November Global)
    • Xiaomi 15 Ultra, 15S Pro, 15 Pro, 15, K80 Pro
    • MIX Flip 2, Civi 5 Pro, Pad 7 Ultra / 7S Pro / 7 Pro / 7
    • Redmi Turbo 4, K80, K Pad
    • Xiaomi TVs (Pro Mini LED 2025), Mi Band 10, Watch S4 series
  • November 2025 (China → December Global)
    • Xiaomi 14 Ultra + Titanium Special Edition, 14 Pro + Titanium Edition, 14
    • MIX Fold 4, MIX Flip, Civi 4 Pro
    • Pad 6S Pro 12.4, K70 Pro, K70 Extreme, K70, K70E
    • Redmi Pad 2
    • Redmi TV X2025 Series, Monitor Q Pro 27U
  • December 2025 (China → January 2026 Global)
    • MIX Fold 3, Xiaomi 13 Ultra, 13 Pro, 13
    • Pad 6 Pro, Pad 6 Max 14
    • Redmi K60 Pro, K60 Extreme, K60, Turbo 3
    • Redmi Note 15 Pro+, Note 15 Pro, Note 15
    • Redmi Note 14 Pro+, Note 14 Pro, Note 14 5G
    • Redmi Note 13 Pro+, Note 13 Pro, Note 13R Pro, Note 13 5G, Note 13R
    • Redmi Watch 5, Watch 5 eSIM
    • Mi Band 9 Pro / Mi Band 9
  • January 2026 (China → February/March Global)
    • MIX Fold 2, Xiaomi 12S Ultra, 12S Pro, 12S, 12 Pro, 12
    • Civi 3, Civi 2
    • Redmi K50 Extreme
    • Redmi Note 15R
    • Redmi Pad Pro 5G / Pad Pro
    • Redmi Note 12 Turbo, Note 12T Pro
    • Redmi 14C, Note 14R 5G
    • Redmi TV S Mini LED, TV MAX2025, Smart TV A Pro series, Smart TV A2025

The big story here isn’t the fancy Xiaomi 15 Ultra or MIX Fold series. They’ll get their updates early, but you’ll rarely see those phones in Kenya.

The real story is that the Redmi Note 13, Redmi Note 14, and even the likes of Redmi 14C, all the familiar devices flooding Kenyan shelves, won’t see HyperOS 3 update until January 2026 globally. That’s a long wait for the very phones that define Xiaomi’s presence in Africa and many other markets outside China.

Until then, check out the features the HyperOS 3 update brings.
